ABOUT MANCINI BURNS DESIGN

Mancini Burns Design is a luxury interior design firm serving NYC, the Hamptons, Florida, and destination markets worldwide. Founded in 2000 by Bella Zakarian Mancini and joined by Taryn Burns in 2011, the firm formally became a partnership in 2026 to reflect the creative synergy that has shaped our work for more than a decade.

BELLA ZAKARIAN MANCINI

Founding Partner

After growing up in Southern California, Bella moved to San Francisco to study Clothing and Textiles before relocating to New York City to begin her career in fashion. She spent several years working in PR and marketing before transitioning into interior design, bringing her background in materials, branding, and creative strategy into a new field. While working at a boutique design firm, Bella completed coursework at the New York School of Interior Design and went on to establish her studio in 2000.

Now based between Sag Harbor and New York City, Bella brings over two decades of experience to her work, with projects spanning New York City, the Hamptons, Florida, and destination locations. Her office has remained in the same Union Square building since the firm’s inception.

Bella’s design sensibility is rooted in a deep appreciation for textiles, handmade elements, and the interplay between vintage and contemporary pieces. She is deeply invested in the collaborative nature of her work and is known for building strong client relationships and creating homes that feel personal, layered, and thoughtfully lived in.

TARYN BURNS

Partner

Born and raised in Southern California, Taryn Burns moved to New York City to study Communications and Art History at New York University. With a growing interest in interiors, she began exploring the field through internships at House Beautiful and various design firms, developing an editorial sensibility grounded in art, craft, and history. Taryn joined the studio in 2011 and has been a central force behind the firm’s work ever since, stepping into the role of Studio Director in 2017.

Taryn brings a thoughtful, detail-driven approach to every project, with a particular strength in managing schedules, deadlines, and execution across complex projects. Her favorite interiors are layered and soulful - rich with art, antiques, personal collections, and texture. She lives in Brooklyn and Rhinebeck with her husband and children.
